Welcome to the Spelthorne Neighbourhood Watch site. We will be upgrading and hope this makes finding what you are after easier, and clearer to see!
What do we do?
Spelthorne Neighbourhood Watch (SNHW) has over 290 registered co-ordinators across the borough, who administer a watch. The role is not onerous and we always welcome new co-ordinators and watches so we can increase the number of homes covered (currently approx.12,890).
What’s our history?
Started over 25 years ago and now the largest voluntary organisation nationally, Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) is a community initiative which relies on networking and alertness of neighbours. It has been shown that NHW areas are less likely to be targeted by criminals and householders can qualify for reduced Insurance premiums.
We work closely with Surrey Police and our staff are now based in the Spelthore BC offices, this means we have up-to-date information about our community, and can pass on your concerns and questions to those on “the beat”, and feedback even more to the community we serve.
