Anti-social behaviour is  ‘acting in a manner that caused or was likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household as the complainant’.
The term covers a wide range of selfish and unacceptable activities that can blight the quality of community life, such as harassment, graffiti, assault, being drunk and disorderly, drug dealing, verbal abuse, and noise.
It is the most frequently expressed community concern.
And at this time of year end we may suffer from those with excesses of booze  and with little regard for a peaceful year end.
The police action at all times in the calendar is to:
Protect victims, witnesses and the community
Enable the perpetrator to understand the consequences of their behaviour
Make sure the perpetrator changes their behaviour: by ….
Warning letters and interviews, contracts and agreements, Fixed penalty notices and penalty notices for disorder. Parenting orders, individual support orders, noise abatement notices, injunctions, dispersal powers, and anti-social behaviour orders (ASBOs)
So we must report the offences in order that we live in better circumstances.
