From time to time we see and read in newspapers recently or on the TV news that there have been cut backs in government funding for the police in Surrey. Regardless of who is blaming whom for this, what it means to us is that it again suggests that we will have to get smarter at helping ourselves when it comes to protecting what we hold dear. There is also a relation between the number who find themselves out of work and an increase in theft crime generally.
If you are already in a Neighbourhood Watch then you will probably be discussing the above amongst yourselves. If you are not a member then perhaps now is the time to do something about that.
