By following some straightforward advice we can ensure that car crime isn’t something that happens to us:
Don’t leave valuables in our car. Take them with us at all times.
Shut the windows and sunroof and lock the doors and boot every time we leave our vehicle.
Use the vehicle’s security devices.
Make a note of serial numbers. Without them, our valuable items are untraceable.
Keep driving documents at home.
Lock the car and remove our keys from the ignition at petrol stations. Keep the keys with us.
Call the police if we see anyone acting suspiciously.
