Gone Phishing

Phishing is a term relating to identity theft by criminals– where another person pretends to be us so that they can obtain money fraudulently. From having our computer user names or passwords or credit card details.
Fraudsters will ‘phone or send us emails, disguised as messages from a bank or building society, say.  Claiming that we need to urgently take action, and confirm information to them. A genuine financial organisation will NOT ask for this. NEVER.
Simply we must NOT give our personal details to anyone over the ‘phone or via our computer unless we are 100% certain that it makes sense to do so.
