Otherwise, head for a spot which is always well-lit, and where reliable passers-by will respond to suspicious activity

If we think we are being followed home, or are a victim of road rage, keep calm, circle a roundabout twice, and if the suspicious person is still in pursuit after this manoeuvre, do not drive home, but head for a place of safety.
