Ways to sponsor us
Our Funding Situation
Neighbourhood Watch is a voluntary organization. In Spelthorne our main funding is from Surrey Police and the Borough Council and includes support for a paid part-time administrator, Linda Kempton. This unusual benefit allows more support for co-ordinators and is highly valued by them.
Other running costs include signs, start up meeting venues, printing and photocopying etc. and we are fortunate to have sponsors whose logos are at the foot of the web site pages. We are very grateful for their commitment to SNHW.
However, our sponsors and backers have their own spending constraints, especially in these economically difficult times, and we must ourselves raise funds.
Our Recycling Project.
75% of homes have a computer printer, and many old used cartridges are sent to landfill.
Also most of us and our family throw away old mobile phones every year.
Apart from polluting our countryside, binning such items costs us all in EU landfill tax.
So…
We’re asking anyone who doesn’t already recycle with a local cause to support us.
We rely on watch co-ordinators asking their members regularly for their old cartridges
and mobiles (with batteries) and let us know so we can collect them.
So, members, we welcome your unwanted mobile phones along with their batteries and printer cartridges from the following manufacturers;
Dell, Lexmark, HP, Canon.
